Milestone Credit Card Review 2026: Fees, Credit Limit & Is It Worth It?

Milestone credit card review: customer paying with a credit card at a store checkout

Quick answer: The Milestone® Mastercard® is an unsecured card for people with bad or limited credit. You don't need a security deposit and it reports to all three credit bureaus, but it earns no rewards and it is expensive: depending on your offer, you'll pay $75 to $175 in the first year and an APR of 29.9% to 35.9%. If you can afford a small deposit, a no-annual-fee secured card builds credit for far less.

The Milestone credit card is one of the most searched cards for people rebuilding their credit, mostly because it approves applicants that mainstream banks turn down. This review explains what the card actually costs using the issuer's own published cardholder agreement, who it's designed for, and when a different card is the smarter move.

How Much Does the Milestone Card Really Cost?

This is the most important part of the review. Milestone does not have one fixed price. Concora Credit shows each applicant a specific offer, and the fees change from offer to offer. These are two real pricing structures:

Offer A (published cardholder agreement)Offer B (common 2026 offer reported by reviewers)
APR29.9%35.9%
Annual fee, year 1$75$175
Annual fee, year 2+$99$49
Monthly feeNone$12.50/month from year 2 ($150/year)
Total cost, year 1$75$175
Total cost, year 2$99$199

On both offers the first-year fee is charged when the account opens, so it reduces your available credit right away. With a $700 limit and a $175 fee, you start with about $525 to spend.

Other fees

  • Cash advance fee: $5 or 5% of the advance, whichever is greater (max $100)
  • Foreign transaction fee: 1%
  • Late payment fee: up to $40
  • Returned payment fee: up to $40

Tip: read the "Pricing Information" box in the offer you receive before you accept. You can still reject the card without paying any fee if you haven't used it yet.

Who Is the Milestone Card For?

The Milestone Mastercard makes sense for a narrow group of people:

  • You have bad or thin credit and have been turned down for other cards.
  • You can't put down a security deposit for a secured card.
  • You will pay the full balance every month, so the high APR doesn't matter.

If you carry a balance, the 29.9%–35.9% APR makes this one of the most expensive ways to borrow. If you have a few hundred dollars for a deposit, a secured card is almost always cheaper. See our list of the best credit cards for bad credit.

Approval: Credit Score Needed and How to Apply

Milestone is designed for fair, poor or limited credit, and there is no published minimum score. Past bankruptcy doesn't automatically disqualify you.

  1. Go to the official Milestone website and choose Pre-Qualify.
  2. Enter your name, address, income and Social Security number. Pre-qualification uses a soft inquiry, so it doesn't hurt your credit score.
  3. Review the exact offer you get: annual fee, monthly fee, APR and credit limit.
  4. Accept only if the numbers work for you. Accepting leads to a hard inquiry.

Credit Limit and Limit Increases

Most cardholders start with a limit of around $700. Milestone doesn't advertise an automatic credit limit increase program. After several months of on-time payments you can call customer service and ask for a review, but an increase isn't guaranteed.

To build your score, keep your balance well below 30% of your limit (under about $200 on a $700 limit) when your statement closes.

Login, Payments and Customer Service

  • Online account: register and log in at mymilestonecard.com to see your balance, statements and payments.
  • App: the Concora Credit app (iOS and Android) lets you pay, check activity and set up autopay.
  • Customer service: 1-800-305-0330.
  • Pay by phone: call the same number and follow the automated menu.
  • Pay by mail: send a check or money order to the payment address printed on your monthly statement.

Set up autopay for at least the minimum payment. A single late payment can hurt your score more than months of on-time payments help it.

Pros and Cons

ProsCons
No security depositHigh annual fee (and monthly fee on some offers)
Reports to all three credit bureaus29.9%–35.9% APR
Pre-qualify without a hard inquiryNo rewards
Accepts applicants with bad creditLow limit, reduced further by the first-year fee
Mastercard is accepted almost everywhereNo clear path to upgrade or get your fees back

Is the Milestone Credit Card Worth It?

Only if you can't get anything better and can't afford a deposit. It does the one job it promises: it reports your payments to the credit bureaus so you can rebuild your score. But you pay a lot for that. Over two years, Offer B costs about $374 in fees alone.

If you can set aside $200–$300, a secured card with no annual fee builds credit in exactly the same way, and you get the deposit back when you close the card or upgrade. Similar unsecured cards to compare:
